Where have you been? Where are you going? And why?
This week marks my second surveillance appointment. It’s amazing to me how time can pass so quickly amidst such scary news. It seems like just yesterday I was leaving the doctor’s office. Four weeks have passed. In the same breath that says cancer is a curse, I can also attest to its blessing. I more accept life on its terms now, which means taking it less for granted. The wind on my face is cooler, the sunsets more striking, the embraces more meaningful, the chance to offer words more vital, and the time spent with others more eternal.
Please pray for clear scans and blood work.
